Janet van Wyk is a self-taught South African artist who celebrates the beauty of nature through her raw, unpretentious realism.
Her art journey started in capturing the vast, untouched landscapes of the Hantam Karoo. There she began to hone her brush-craft on blank canvas, determined to share the awesome views that touched her soul.
In 2019 she and her husband moved to Marloth Park, situated next to the Kruger National Park, where she continued her journey onto wild life centred in the bush. She rediscovered her childhood fondness of the bush in bringing majestic fauna to life through her paintings.
